When strandded in the weeds, take a breather; come back even stronger.
We all need to relax. Yes, that includes you, you and yes, you too.
If you're busy all the time, its probably you want to be productive and generate some sort of profit.
Who generates the most profit? One may think of big financial companies and corporations.
Then who in those entities earn the most? Well, the C-suite of course.
When thinking of these C-suite people, I have an image of someone who has an expensive car, posh office with a greeat view. They are always on the computers, sometimes on their blackberries, dine at expensive restaurants, and plays golf.
How'd these people get there, one might ask, whats the method? Hardworking?
Yes, sure. But how about those guys working underneath the corp ladder, they work even longer hours? If not, probably even more hardworking than those in the C-suite.
Besides thinking about their educational levels, which probably is the same anyway. No I'm serious, most successful people I know, didn't have their education in the field they are currently in. I have a different take, a bias one if you won't mind.
These people know how to balance their lives. They understand the Law of Diminishing Returns. Just as we all understand, not working all day doesnt generate you profit, Longer hours don't generate more profit either.
Think of it as a swimming competition. If you want to go futher, and faster, you've gotta take breaths. Yes taking breaths will slow you down that second, but without it, you won't go far cause you'll end up drowning.
What I'm trying to say here is,
Guys, when strandded in the weeds, take a breather; come back even stronger.
