My 8-piece Danier arsenal

"Omg Danier leather is expensive, and its totally out of our league as students!"
The above statement may come from a student, possibly overseas, wears a timberland windbreaker jacket, who has lost touch with today's world living half a decade behind.
Over the years Danier the leather jacket brand that WAS up there in price and quality, has now transformed. When I was first introduced to Danier by my good friend Dimitry, I fell in love with these leather jackets. The touch, the feel, the looks, and the smell of genuine leather! Not to mention the price was not that bad at all. A blazer jacket from $99, a winter jacket from $199. These few recent years, danier has been implementing this new marketing strategy. To put out a new jacket slightly above the market price, after a month or so (confirmed by my friend Amanda who works at Danier), they mark it down by a ridiculous discount. They first mark it down half-price, followed by a 25% off event. Does this strategy actually work? Oh hell ya, it's a genius. It even have their emplyees pay check "goes right back" (another friend at Danier, Mellisa). For myself, After these years, after loosing a pair of leather pants and a leather vest, I still have 8 items from Danier in my arsenal.
1) Thinsulate brown leather jacket, featuring a super soft comfy warm collar.
2) Sheepskin biker-ish jacket. Super warm, thin and makes me look good.
3) Suede khaki spring jacket. $99 my friends don't like this one very much.
4) Danier beanie with a visor shade, keeps my head warm.
5) Wool scarf in brown and khaki cross stitched.
6) Grey cotton super soft scarf, made in Germany.
7) Cashmere blend gloves, wrap in in black leather, great stiching pattern.
8) and Finally my new favorite, black leather blazer. Its between leather and suede. I look so good in this gay men are into me.

If this marketing strategy was true, wouldn't people realize and just walk away? You might think.
Many of us may not realize but we're born curesed. Cursed by the word 'SALE'! This word literally makes us high and its the main contributor to our impluse buys. How often do we purchase an item that is not on sale? Food perhaps, but for other things, being on SALE is alrady a good enough reason to spend. Then the second factor is how big the sale is, if the sale is just 10% off, then we might think its not good enough a deal, but if its a 50% or 70% off, then we go crazy. Even if the material is crap to begin with, we trick ourselves into thinking that the build quality is superior or else it wouldn't have been sold with the original price. Am I right?
Danier knows all of this, and they know we'd love to own a few of their jackets. Danier is very gracious in doing this favor for us, putting a sales tag on so when we buy their stuff, not only do we get a discounted product with their brand name on it, also the high of shopping at a "SALE". Thanks Danier, love you lots!
